So, I posted earlier than I was making a Merc G class. I think it's too long, from the side it looks LR defenderish. Does Oppo agree?

Good job! I think one more block run between the top of the fenders and the belt-line would totally nail it.

It's a bit long, yeah. The pillars could stand to be thicker, too.

In which place? Between the black and the hood? Or between the fender and the black parts?

I was thinking both - the entire length ... just raise the beltline by one run of blocks and it might fix the appearance that it's too long.

Yeah, if I could figure out how to make the hood slope like the real one it would look mint, while not making the front look too blocky. The front looks good as it up another block, I think would make it look odd.

FWIW, a 110 Defender's a good bit longer still. A Range Rover, OTOH, has the same box proportions but wildly different wheel well placement.

That's it! It's the no slope on the hood that makes it look off. Meh, it's Legos after all. Pretty damn good jerb for working with those.

Looks much better. That's how it would look with the hood sloped. I think I'm still going to shorten it a few studs in the wheel base though.
