They say that this Ford Escape Titanium is so nice it can compete with cars like the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. Maybe it could compete with the Acura RDX, but not the Germans. I'm not saying that they aren't nice cars, it's just that someone whose looking for a German SUV most likely will not cross shop the Escape.

I don't have a Titanium, but I have the SEL, and I absolutely love it!

I hear they are nice cars! I would much rather have an Escape over it's competitors.

The escape Titanium is ridiculously over priced. there is not 1 option that you can get on the Titanium that you cannot get on the SE other than the 19" wheels(which has been discontinued for 2014 MY) and an Escape SE loaded to the tits come in at about $5000.00 less than the Titanium.
My wife has a Escape SE and I shake my head everytime I see someone with a Titanium. What those buyers must of done is walked into the ford dealership and said I want the most expensive Ford Escape you make?

I see mostly Titanium Escapes. I think it's the DRLs that drive people to get the Titanium. ;)

Probably true that people looking for a German SUV wouldn't necessarily look at the Escape, but the point is should they.
There's no reason whatsoever that the Ford Escape can't be better in every conceivable way other than the prestige of the badge. Whether it is or not, I don't know, but it's not automatic that something built by Germans is superior.

One auto website compared the '08 Vue XR to an'08 X3 3.0si and the Vue won. So it's possible for the Escape to be better than the Germans.

Not saying an X3 buyer would even step foot in a Saturn dealership... Or a Ford dealership...
