Not much to it. My friend rebuilds Raptor shocks. He just finished a rebuild so he, the truck's owner, and I went on a test/demonstration session.

How much to get them rebuilt?

What do you think of the Raptor? I'd like to hear you go into depth about the production desert truck.

Ain't gonna be no going in depth at 3 AM, but I think they're fantastic trucks. No automaker ever offered anything remotely similar in capability and purpose, and what they can do out of the box is incredible. I love them. That said, and this is one thing people/owners forget, the Raptor is a specialized vehicle and as such requires attention and maintenance that might not occur to most people. The shocks for example really should be rebuilt every 15,000 miles. The shock valving stack needs to be checked during every rebuild and occasionally replaced. Springs and spring mounts need to be checked for damage. Basically, keep your tools in good shape if you want them to perform properly

I find 3 AM to be the best time for going in depth... I agree with everything you said, those shocks definitely won't last the claimed 150k. Do you have any info/speculation on Gen 2?

Nope, too busy with the whole EatSleepRaceRepeat thing, haven't had the chance to shake down any contacts for info.
