Now go get that warranty on those tires!
I may have a "friend" who took his Prius tires SEVERAL track days, then got them replaced with Pilot Super Sports (at no cost) under warranty.

Don't those warranties only cover the replacement cost of the OEM tires?

Yep, those fuckers cost $210 apiece, you can get just about anything for that.

Tire use warranty? There exists such a thing?

Yes, the tires are warrantied for 40K miles, if you manage to wear them down in under a year (and below a certain mileage) you are reimbursed at 100% cost, after that the amount is prorated.
All I know is that it takes about 10 hours of track time to hit the wear bars.

Holy sheet, that is most definitely an excuse to go and take them to the track and wear them out to get some super sports.

oh shit time to do all the burnouts. Do you have confirmation of this?

Read the Michelin pamphlet that came with the car. I burned off the tread over a season at the track, drove around normally for a month ( to get rid of obvious blisters) then went in to America's Tire and said "my tires are worn all the way down and I've only had the car for 5 months, do you guys cover Michelin warranties?"

Sweet. I haven't done any track days, so I guess I have to drive it harder

Good luck, those Primacy tires are HARD. Easily the longest wearing 240 tread wear I've ever used and it would take some doing to wear them out on the road IMO. Maybe a few dozen autocrosses could scrape away the tread though...
