The wife was getting a massage so the little guy and I killed some time by grabbing some frozen yogurt and strolling the local BMW lot. There was not one new BMW in inventory with 3-pedals.

Ruh oh
That is a really bad sign :(

Finding three pedals is getting harder and harder to find new.

After a quick search, of the more than 45,000 new BMWs listed on Autotrader, less than 1% are manuals. So much for the whole "ultimate driving machine" thing.

There was a small handful of manuals in my area.
One of which was in an M6 Gran Coupe!

This is how it was when I went car shopping. 2 BMW dealers in town with HUGE inventories consisting of everything from 10 year old used to brand spanking new ///M models and not a single [BMW] with 3 pedals. (they had other used cars on lot with 3 pedals but nothing with BMW logos

I drive manual F10's and F30's pretty regularly at work and you don't want one. It's not even a manual. It feels too perfect, the clutch too light, and the shifts take no effort.

I kinda worded that poorly. It feels too automated, soft, it feels like the shift linkage is electric and the clutch too. Then again that's coming from someone who owned a bunch of E30's. The shifts were firm and the clutch was nice and heavy.

So what's a guy to do if he wants a new German sports-sedan with RWD and 3-pedals?

Settle.

The A4 is quite nice especially with the red bias Quattro, but damn that 2.0T needs an update.

The 335i paired with a manual is as good as it will be until I can get my butt in the seat of the new M3. I drove a manual F10 M5 and that seems to be a lot better than a non-M F10.
I'm just being grumpy because "They don't make em like they used to"

I drove an E30 iX this weekend.
Would settle.
Would settle lots.
Actually, that's not really settling. You don't need all that cushy poopsauce, you need a straight six and AWD.

I've been looking for CPO BMW's for my wife and can't find any manuals. I asked a few sales guys a about it and they said they almost never see newer manuals, and that the dealership will only special order them for people who want a new one.
