I feel like taking a pause from listening to alternative and classic rock. I'm in the mood for house/electronic music. The problem is, other than Madeon I don't know what is good. Any suggestions?

Eh! erm, no actually. Electronic music... electrinic music. I apparently never liked any of it to actually know some. Never realized that until right now. The closest I seem to be able to get:
Rammstein
Aviici (Sp?)
Save Ferris... Ok that isn't close but it is excellent Ska...

IMO, you haven't lived until you have experienced:
OK, maybe its a stretch... But it is great and an excellent cover.

Never stop listening to rock. There are only a few rock listeners left compared to all the dubstep listeners.

Oh don't worry about me, I grew up listening to nothing but rock music from the late 60s through mid 80s. I've seen Van Halen, Foghat, Styx, etc. in concert. I also have an 8-track for my car. Not bad for someone under 20 eh? I don't like dubstep, the stuff sounds like fax machines and dial up modems having sex to me.

I saw Foreigner too! They were so damn loud, much louder than Styx who was on stage before them.

They were really good I have them on cassette and they sounded better than on tape. I am a teen and I own cassette tapes sue me.

I'm 18 and am the only one in our house who listens to my fathers massive vinyl collection.

I am 14 and get criticized for not liking "Turn down for what" and "Talk dirty to me"

Those are absolutely dreadful songs. There is no musical value to them what so ever. I don't understand current pop music.

Well, try this youtube channel! My source for all my EDM needs! Here are a couple of my favorite mixes!
Also, these songs! my night driving jams!
As you can probably tell, I'm a bit of an EDM fanatic...
Don't worry though! I have a very decent amount of Van halen, AC/DC, Bon Jovi Whitesnake etc. on my phone to offset it!

The best EDM artists all come from Europe where there is more variety than just skrillex imitators....and skrillex. A few of my favorite artists are BT (who is American), Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, and Tritonal. Once you get out of American radio play, you can see that actual EDM artists have unique sounds and like to do different things. BT likes to sing on a lot of his tracks and edit his voice a lot. He makes his own editing tools and a lot of the industry uses his stuff once he's done with it. No joke, he is literally using software and equipment that is 5-10 years ahead of everyone else. TIesto and Van Buuren are both on a collaboration kick with tons of singers and artists. This makes some fucking AWESOME albums to hear so many different singers and music styles on one disc. One song could have a female with more of a funk/jazz voice and then next minute you've got a rocker belting out the lines like a pro. I used to have a radio show so these are some of the songs I liked to play over the air. THey're all a bit older by now but still on my playlists. Oh and the extra tiesto track at the end is included because it stars an old Z car.

Awesome man thanks! I was looking for some good EDM that wasn't on pop radio and you delivered (I'm not a fan of the first one though). I have noticed that for some reason there are a ton of EDM artists coming out of France.

Well since you liked all that, here's one of my favorite twisty road driving songs. Ideally it'd be in a GT3 RS or a Gallardo Superleggera but my little FiST rocks this song pretty well on the lake roads nearby.

My folks drove it up from the Bahamas.
You're kidding...
I hope so - the Bahamas are islands...

C89.5 out of Seattle - student-run station with a fair EDM representation.
My stepdaughter is on staff, it's one of two high school radio stations left in the nation.
I listen to their industrial show on Sunday nights. http://www.ontheedgeradio.com/
