...with a dualshock. I'm going to end up breaking my controller and/or TV if I don't quit now.

Tell me about it, I drift mostly on GT6 and it makes transitions and getting the right angle really crappy with a dual shock. Strange since I used to drift on forza 4 with the standard controller and did just fine.

Yeah, I drift most of the time too. Except that I'm actually trying to race :\

Haha that's exactly why I give up on proper racing and drift instead.

I just spent two minutes doing donuts on the nurburgring. I'm really good at those.

It helps that the tire smoke looks really cool on GT6, makes those donuts feel worth it.

Dang that makes me want a G27. I can drift with my controller, or with my wheel in Forza 4, but my wheel is only half compatible with PS3 so drifting with it in GT6 is nearly impossible.

oddly enough I find it easier to drift with the dualshock on gt6 rather than using my DF-GT

That really does make it better.

A G27 is on my wish list too but my real car savings are more important at the moment.

Depends which wheel you have I suppose and what you feel comfortable with, I'm pretty ham fisted so trying to manage steering angle with an analogue stick is a skill I don't really have...

my problem is that I over correct with the wheel so can't maintain the slides

I over-correct with the analogue which throws me into the barriers 1/10th of the time because I can't gauge how much correction it needs. A wheel with good travel would probably help with that. I wish money grew on trees...

It is a nice wheel. I still need to get a racing seat.

Yeah, from what I can tell, they're loud but super fast. That speed looks to be ideal for drifting, where you can really spin it around lock to lock. I have a Fanatec CSR, which isn't as fast, but has really nice feel and is very quiet.

It's really good if you have a chair wide enough for it to sit on. Otherwise, you end like me, making do with your box spring instead.

My seating situation is not optimal for racing either...

Is it worse than a box spring?

In a way... no. Because I have a couch and a chair. But no way to use a wheel with those.
