HOLY HELL I DROVE A CAYMAN R AND IT WAS REALLY REALLY FAST
It looked like this. After the actual heats were done we opened up for fun runs. First I ran in a Boxster S, and damn that was awesome. Did two runs in that while its owner was driving the Cayman. I wanted to get a ride in the Cayman, but the rules only let you ride with an instructor, so the a Cayman owner just told me to take it myself.
It was unreal. I was actually faster in the Boxster, but I had one run prior to my best to get a feel for it. The Cayman R felt much faster, and I know I could have been faster in it but I wasn't going to push it too hard as it's not my car.
I believe my exact words in the Boxster were 'God damn, this thing is fast', but in the Cayman R they were 'holy shit, this thing is ungodly fast'
As for my car, I did pretty well today. Even beat a Porsche! Never mind that it was a Cayenne. My last run was my best run in the afternoon by 2 seconds, and I had a very fast driver take mine out on a fun run and I was only a second and a half behind his best, which felt good. I need new tires, I think I could shave at least another second and a half off my times, if not more.

This is one of the many reasons I want a Cayman over a 911. (If i had the money)

Was it stick or PDK?

How did you like it?
The nice thing about the Cayman R is that it came with paddles. Not those dumb buttons on the steering wheel like the non upgraded Caymans and 911s of that era.

Well, being AutoX I only shifted once. It was fast, but I hardly have an opinion.
