Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 29

I really get tired of seeing my mom's car around.

Kinja'd!!!

Just in the short time we were out buying pizza we saw:

A silver one in the Pizza Hut parking lot

Two white ones on the road

A blue Captiva (same thing) at Lowes

A gold one on the road

A black one on the road (looks identical to ours)

And a ruby red one leaving the church next to my street

That doesn't even include all the older models we saw.

That should tell you it was a good car. Because that's a lot of the same car to see in one hour.

You know I don't know if it was geography or what but I live in Seattle and I don't see many of these.

Dude, Opel badging. You won't see any of those. I barely see these at all, besides the Chevy Captiva, the rental car and fleet version.

That's the case for a lot of places; people never see them., yet I see multiple daily.

Them's fightin' words boy.

In all seriousness though, they're really good cars!

I see a good mixture of Vue and Captiva; but all the Captivas I see are personally owned.

I WANT OPEL BADGING SO BAD YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.

I know! Just not very exciting ones. Don't worry, driving a C-Class is just as boring.

...Is it bad that I find it really fun to drive?

Man, I need some better cars in my life I guess.

Ex-Fleet vehicles I guess. I don't recall them ever being sold those to the general public for some reason.

If it's really fun to drive, just wait until you get a performance car! You'll have a blast!

They're fleet only. But I guess a lot of people buy them second hand.

I see more of the Vue/Captiva around more-so than new Equinoxes

I think part of what makes it fun is the comedy factor.

"I'm throwing a 4000lb trucklet into a corner at 30 and it isn't understeering into a tree!"

Plus the body roll is hilarious; though not as bas as my brakeless bus.

Same, I mainly see fleet vehicles though. With the Equinox, mainly rentals and some personally owned. I feel that they need to redesign it. Just do the Opel badging whilst she's out of town Haha.

I actually don't see as many of these as expected. They're still plentiful, but I actually think I see more VUEs.

I must live in an area with weird car tastes.

Those big ruby-red badges are pretty easy to see on her black car. If the red went away, I think she'd notice.

Always worth a shot though!!

That makes more sense. But if people thing AWD is needed in winter they need more driving practice.

Does the CR-V even offer a V6? Did it ever? I know literally nothing about that car.

"But if people thing AWD is needed in winter they need more driving practice." - to this I must concur

The honda CRV comes in a 4cyl and a v6, However it NEVER came in a v8. Ours is a 4cyl. It weighs 3800 pounds, has 185 hp, and the brake pedal is made of strawberry jello, It Sucks.

A V8 CR-V would be awesome.

Our Vue weighs a touch over 4000lbs and has the 257 horsepower V6. And the brake pedal is actually really nice to use.

Buuut, it was offered with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder that made 164 horsepower. Connected to a 4-speed auto. There's a good reason we didn't buy that one.

What all cars have you driven? Is there any chance this car is just really fast and sporty compared to you van and you dad's pickup? Because relativity is a funny thing. My mom's car is average fast. After I drove a CLS63 AMG, her car felt slower than hell. After I drove an FJ80 Land cruiser, her car felt like a rocket ship.

A V8 CRV would be awesome, and I also wish that the brake pedal was more responsive. YOU should tell a car to do something, You SHOULDNT tell a car to do something FOR YOU.

I've driven:

'97 E36 BMW 328i w/sport package

'09 Dodge Avenger R/T

'04 Silverado

'94 Safari

'98 Camry V6

'02 Taurus

Personally, I like driving the Vue more than I did the E36.

Wait till you drive a really proper Euro hotrod. It'll change what you know to be fast.

We get the same thing here in Vermont, but it's all about the Subaru. Those now-gargantuan Outbacks riddle every back road and highway. Most of the year, Vermont offers fantastically fun to drive roads, yet everyone is lumbering around in 4,000 pound, all-wheel drive monsters.
