On this day in 1943, the B-17 known as Memphis Belle flew its 25th and final mission before being returned to the United States. It is currently undergoing restoration at the USAF National Museum.

I have a signed Commemorative picture of the cast of the movie and surviving members of the actual crew. Still one of my favorite movies.

Also, to think of those men up in that plane, braving the elements and Germans trying to kill them. I know they are braver men than I.
