Hey Aya, remember when I said I had one of these on my street? I finally managed to get a shot of it this morning.

One of the worst cars sold in the past decade...

Here's the funny part, this car has been daily driven for at least 6 years, and hasn't rusted out. The owner said it was very reliable.

Fair play if it does A-B pretty well. Not sure I could put up with it myself though, had a ride in one once and the chassis was so bad it bounced around unless the road was extremely smooth and needed full throttle pretty much everywhere.

Oh shit. That's the best car kia ever made
*Sarcasm.
I once drive a Rio Sedan. And it's feels like 1 million times worse than my Sephia.

Wow! I always thought maybe 2000-2005 model kias were unreliable. Anybody got figures of reliability?

I'm not sure, but I always saw that car in running shape, maybe they took good care of it. There wasn't any rust on the body from what I saw. I also spotted a couple more of the same model around the area in similar condition.

Kia/Hyundai haven't been very high on my "want" list, even though they've improved by a significant margin, it's still a "shitty cheap Korean car" to me.
I have seen at least two other cars of the same model in the neighbourhood, all in similar shape, which surprises me. The car pictured is parked outside, and is constantly exposed to road salt every winter.

Well, yeah me too.
I rarely saw their expensive offering. The only expensive hyundai i ever saw is a Hyundai Equss with a korean man sitting in the back.

Well, roads here are the opposite of smooth, but my street isn't as bad as it could get.

Rios typically get a bad rap, but my friend drives an '07 Sedan 75 miles every day and gets 37 MPG even though it has over 110,000 miles. She's never had any issues except a coil pack at around 100,000 miles. I rode in it and it is basic as can be (not even power locks), but it seems to have held up well.

I hate admitting this, but I like it. Add some sort of forced induction and enjoy REALLY REALLY cheap tires. 3-4 sets a year!
