As an insider, very few people in the sport were expecting this to happen. Not many people truly understood the power of the internet. Big wake up call yesterday from this for a lot of people. I wasn't surprised at all. Knew Danica was about a 75% certainty to not get in from the vote because of this, and she wasn't able to race in. But there were a lot of people that expected her competition to be either Dillon (3 car being back) or Larson.

Like many things in the sport, when technology enters, everything you've always known may have to be tossed out.

I personally happy that Dillon, Larson, or Danica didnt win. They all have top tier equipment, they dont have any excuses for not winning any races. I like it more when smaller market drivers win this stuff because they just are at an overall disadvantage when it comes to equipment.
