The Ryder truck became wedged under the railroad overpass in the 600 block of East Waterman near Intrust Bank Arena, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said. The incident was reported at 8:46 a.m. A sign on the overpass indicates there is 12 feet of clearance underneath.

Exactly. Although not every rental truck company is nice enough to put a big sticker like that on the truck dash and really they should.

True, I speak on the behalf of Budget trucks. My company spends about $300,000 on them a year. I don't know about Ryder like that one or Penskie, or U-Haul.

I like renting from Budget or discount. I stay the hell away from u-fail-to-haul.

I seen a lady pull one of the uhaul trucks this size* in to get fuel at a station once. As she pulled away, she just turned like it was a car and ripped the side of the box open like a can. She got out to look at the damage and looked at me. I just shook my head at her until her shame forced her back into the cab. I assume to make a call. To be honest I'd have done the same if not worse if had been a guy.
