I have the great opportunity to take a Scud on the racetrack this Wednesday. I am quite excited and nervous. Does anyone here have experience with Ferraris on track?

None whatsoever. But I presume it will be a dull, boring, dreadful experience.
Just kidding. That sounds like a dream come true. Enjoy!

I wish I had experience with Ferraris on track...
Sounds fun though, take lots of pictures (and videos) to share with us later :P

What a coincidence - I would greatly enjoy driving a MAZ-543 (Scud launch truck) around a track. Not for the max speed - really just for the lulz.

A 360 spider for three laps. It broke...

In short, yes. Do you know if the car is completely stock or not? I'm mostly referring to the brakes.

Yep, completely stock scud

Huh. Well all I can say is take it easy since you will be running the stock brake pads and fluid. Both huge no-nos.
Is this your car?

Do the pads fade really quickly? And no, it isn't mine.

I did some laps in an F430 last summer. It was divine. The harder you push it. the happier it will be. Very well balanced and forgiving.
Kinda jelly about your scud ride. Enjoy!

Which track?

Well that depends largely on how you drive but yes their wear rate is quite rapid (I went through a set in 4 sessions or an hour and a half of track time). In addition, they require a fair bit of effort to be applied to the brake pedal. Also, ask if the brakes have been bedded. Most people don't realize this, but the Scuderia's brakes do need to be bedded in order to be most effective, especially on track. I'm not saying this to scare you, just to make you aware.
I'm surprised that whoever is allowing you to use their car hasn't performed a proper track setup for the car if that's where it's being used. If it was my car, I would change the pads to F430 Challenge pads and brake fluid to Castrol SRF if I intended to track the car extensively.

Thank you very much for the heads up. I'll be sure to take the proper precautions. Cheers.

You're welcome. I'm positive that you'll have a great time, just remember to take it slow at first and build up from there. Also, post photos and videos if possible.

I was in the 430 Scud with Xtreme Xperience. It is stripped down and violently awesome. Have a great time with it!
