granted this one isnt related to the ignition lock debacle but really? GM for all your size your quality control is shit

this is relates to Malibus and faulty brake lines that could lead to no panic assist when braking. Thats not bad at all...

It won't lead to brake failure , but there won't be any panic assist.

which i suppose means longer stopping time which may lead to crash etc... still not a good thing :)

We are going to see recall occurrences inflate by every manufacturer, and the number of vehicles/models will too.

Not necessarily bad either. With rapid advancement in technology, material use, etc, to definitively engineer something for a 10 year lifespan of a vehicle isn't what it once was. More vehicle models are sharing parts, so more models will be included in recalls.
Safety standards and awareness are being reformed. Where something wouldn't elicit a recall before, it now does. Making cars safer.

Have you ever heard someone claim something like "my old fridge lasted 20 years, this new low energy unit died after 5 years".
