Digging the SUs. I've always wondered why they're not more popular for retrofits (although I guess their side-draught nature makes V6 and V8 applications a bit tricky).

I think you just answered your question.

That engine build is artistry. Probably has an output untouched by any other NA iron fours of the day, and so. very. custom. That, and the body - when's the last time you saw a wood pickup bed topless with rider fenders and through-the-side air filters?

I'd rather see this than a dozen SBC deuces.

For the price you could pick up a dozen SBC deuces.

You might be surprised. That is a 2.8L I4. The block and head are bigger than you think.

I get it; I just don't get it to that extent. I was honestly shocked at what the seller is asking. That said, someone will probably pony-up ...

I'm not sure it is worth it to me. That's just the entry fee because it is not running and good luck with that Franken-engine.

for shoddy glass 32s, a real 32 steal body alone is worth. 20k-25k. A complete car needing complete restoration is 35k-45k. Done rods can be near 80-100k

Can we assume that it's pretty shoddy if it has an SBC?

I wouldn't say that. It's the glass body that is terrible. Many of them are really thin and not well built.

I'm a die hard SBC guy I doo get tired of seeing crate motor after crate motor stuck in between the rails. I like seeing early SBC all dressed in vintage items.

Try to find another one or something even close to that motor. It's ok I'll wait.

Yep. I had an SD1 with twin Strombergs. Looked a little odd compared to the typical setup, but the intake noise was incredible!
