I want to save all of them.
Ever drive past an old car or truck, again and again, and it never moves? It is never being worked on. It never changes. It just sinks deeper and deeper into the ground. Rusts and rots away more and more.
I've been passing by this truck for the past 5 years. It is all of those things. Shame.

There's a d50 that has been parked in the same spot for as long as I can remember. We used to drive past it rarely when I was a child. Now I commute past it a couple times a week. They must like to look at it in their yard or something.

There's a person around here who has a sliver Buick Skylark and a baby blue International Harvester pickup that just sit in their driveway unloved. Both are starting to look dilapidated and tired. I really want to save both of them.

Gas station find actually, it's been sitting around 8+ years and the owner knows what it is and won't sell it nor will he fix it because he spends his money on trucks. Mind you, he owns the gas station and a landscaping company!

I know the feeling . All those pics are from the 40 acres my in-laws live on. I don't have any weight in the family yet to ask anything, so I can't really ask for them. Plus the lines of 'who' technically owns them them gets really blurry quite quickly....

Seriously, so sad. I'm sure someone would give him a reasonable price too...hate it when people illogically hold out on something that should really be preserved. If it's been there for 8+ years I'm sure the exchangers are shot and every seal's dried up. Those cars need to be DRIVEN!

Probably horrible. It's next to a run down house that has a driveway filled with 80's Dodges in various states of decay. I'd probably get shot for trespassing if I tried to get close or ask if its for sale.

This. All the time. Ever since I was a kid and the weird/crazy old guy who owned the orchard nearby just let a Nomad wagon sit and rust away. Such a total waste. There are several people doing this in my current neighborhood.
There's this guy:
And this guy:
I know that none of those parked cars (the truck still "runs", badly, and is driven) has moved since at least 1996, and probably longer. There's a Scout around the corner in a similar state. And a 240Z in a storage lot across from my office, same deal. And the street through the nearby town of Ward is lined with potential project vehicles that should be fixed, sold, or, if too far gone, crushed.
