Transverse engine but a rear differential so it's AWD. Steering wheel looks to be British,Italian or maybe German but it's LHD so that leave out the Brits. That's as good as I can do.

Italian, AWD, solid rear axle, it's not an Alfa, every AWD Alfa I know of had IRS... something Fiat or possibly IVECO...

I'm leaning more Italian as the wheel reminds me of the one in my high school friend's FIAT but that's based on a very old memory so take that with a large grain of salt.
