And it only corners like a cruise ship! They updated the handling when journalists criticized it for handling like an oil tanker.

GM Upper Management: "Let's build a Z28!"
GM Engineer: "Okay, how fast do you want it to corner?"
GM Upper Management: "FAST. SUPER FAST."
GM Engineer: "Well, that's going to take XXX suspension materials, and 500lbs off of the SS model.
GM Upper Management "How we do weight savingz?"
GM Engineer: "Make everything out of carbon fiber!"
GM Upper Management: "Carbon Fiber Bad. Fiberglass Plastic GOOOD."
GM Engineer: "Carbon fiber will make the car cost about $150,000, but EVERYONE will love it and it will totally outperform everything else."
GM Upper Management: "CARBON FIBER BAD. YOU MAKE HANDLE NOW!"
GM Engineer: "Well, if we can't reduce weight, we need grip..."
GM Upper Management: "BUY GRIP"
GM Engineer: *sigh* Fine, do whatever you want.
GM Upper Management: *beep beep* ... "HALLO PIRELLI"
Pirelli: "Itsa me, Marco Provera!"
GM Upper Management: HOW MUCH 4 GRIPZ?
Pirelli: "For you? Good deal!"
GM Upper Management: YAY! Engineer, use TIREZ NAOW!
GM Engineer: These are going to fall off the rims, have horrible effects for camber, and wear out way too early.
GM Upper Management: ...skidpadz?
GM Engineer: Well, it will have a good skidpad rating.
GM Upper Management: DONE. RAISES FOR ALL MANAGEMENT FOR SAVING GM!
GM Engineer: Goddammit.

Wait a minute... Doesn't this engineer work for Harley Davidson now? So does that mean they're going to try sport bikes again?

Something about a V4 or Inline 4 carbon fiber Harley sportbike actually makes me seriously excited, and I don't even like motorcycles.

Who did? Every review I saw of the Z/28 remarked about how it made the GT-R feel like a truck when cornering, it had such large amounts of grip.

I was commenting on the wideness of the tires in the picture, they would make the turning radius gigantic.

That satire flew right over my head. Fwooosh.
I thought you were talking about the real Z/28.

Stielow has gone on record saying that GM gave him a lot of room to experiment and chase whatever he needs to.

I probably enjoyed this way more than I should have. I especially like how Upper Management seems to get dumber within the same conversation . Smiles here.

I'm really curious why having 305s front and rear is a bad thing - why would this have more horrible effects than say 245s all around? The Hummer has 345s all around for example and most SUVs would have comparable tyre widths to the Z28??
