My friend just got me this model kit for me to build. One small problem, I've never built one requiring glue or paint... any helpful tips or companies to get/avoid when buying paint or glue? I need anything I can get here. Is it hard to do? Thanks!

Just take your time, paint each part you have the desired colour. As far as paint and glue I just buy same brand as the car if available, but any paint works.

Everything you need should be written on the side of the box. It being a Level 2, shouldn't be too hard.

I got a little paint guide but it doesnt list any real specifics for companies....And that was my thinking... it is for 10+; im 16!

I did my first model like that when I was about 10, it isn't that hard.

My friend got me a Pontiac Judge build-it-yourself model kit just like that for my ninth B-day. It is still sitting unopened on my bookshelf, seven years later.

Maybe. Or maybe it will inspire me to send you mine. I am not an artsy-craftsy person, or particularly good with handyman stuff.

Get a small paint brush and take your time. Also, make sure everything fits together before you glue it. If it doesn't, just sand it down with some fine sandpaper.

Take your time. I am casually doing a Revell DTM M3 and it's taking forever, but I would recommend painting while the parts are on the sprue and touching up after putting the beast together.
BTW I shared this to LaLDiecast so we can get some modelling stuff up in there too!
