Ride Apart calls out newbie bikers with list of riding faux pas.
2. Sun's out, guns out.
As soon as the temperature gets above 60 degrees, you're ready to get out there in a t-shirt or sleeveless vest. Riding down the road, squeezing the handlebars so your triceps flex, you look around to try and catch people watching you. You're only going 40 mph, nothing bad can happen.

Honestly, Harley guys seem to squid more than sportbike/standard guys.
Bandanna Vs Helmet? Hmmmm, in a crash. Which one wins?

Bandana keeps your grey matter neatly enclosed, it's perfect.

The helmet design thing is true. Half-shell helmets are pointless, I don't care if it looks cool. Full-face helmet saved my beautiful face, I won't ever ride without one.

3. If you don't rev your bike at idle, it might die.
But what if that is a real thing? I had a idle switch short out on a bike once so if it went to idle it would stall, so I legit had to hold the throttle open at lights. Granted, I wasn't revving, just holding it above idle to keep the pump on.

4. You meet up with your motorcycle friends in the most populated places possible.
F that noise. The most populated place is also the place most likely for you to get hit and or overheat.

6. You think 600cc sport bikes are for girls and new riders.
Lol, Newbs on 600cc sport bikes is how accidents happen, keep it to the 250s boys. I personally prefer the 600s as they are more nimble for street riding, but hey, thats me.

My carbs are jacked and I have to keep on the throttle at idle or it'll die. Generally not an issue for n00b.

Not listed is my favorite: Harley riders (or any bikers) waving at other biker's like a pre school friend-hand up with an open palm. Usually of the badass doctor/ lawyer class.
Had a friend's dad who would give the double-gun finger point on his Harley just to be a dick.
I also came across a compelling painting featuring a noob Harley couple with their puppy on the back of their cruiser...A grizzled biker approaches with his hand down, the puppy wearing the leather vest and goggles has his paw down...but the noob couple carrying him has their hands up as if waving at a neighbor.

Acceptable. Throttle blips... not so much.

My R6 was stupid fast. Always loved ripping past guys at the track with their liter-bikes. Especially when I gained enough distance that they couldn't catch up on the straights.

Well shit, I'm guilty of half of those. (sigh) How much longer do I have to ride to not be a noob?

Same for me, including reving my engine cause I enjoy the sound it makes, standing around admiring bike cause I admire bikes, 600cc are best for girls and newbies (I ride a girls bike), and its factual that my style of riding is the best until proven otherwise.

I'm really hoping to shed "noob status" at 25
Years riding.

Every HD rider I see does this so I assumed they cannot idle for some reason.

But what if I have one of these?
It doesn't have an idle circuit. If I let it die, then I will have to push start it because it doesn't have a starter either. Because you know, Race Bike.
