Kinja'd!!!

Oppo, help me pack for my over night drive I have coming up!

So Saturday night, we are heading off to go visit the large kingdom of the mouse in central Florida. I will be driving all night while everyone else sleeps.

I will be getting onto a 3rd shift schedule on Thursday and Friday, so I will be wide awake. But since that night will be my waking hours, I will need to eat.

So this is where you come in. What do you suggest for me to pack to keep me going? Nothing heavy so I do not get groggy. Also, I have high blood pressure (regulated with medication, been that way since I was 17), so no energy drinks/caffeinated drinks. I may drink some sweet tea, or maybe ONE Dr. Pepper, but don't want to drink too much so I'm not stopping to go pee constantly.

I was thinking of just getting food along the way, but are Subway's open at 3 in the morning?

So, snacks? Easy to eat foods? What do you think?

McDonalds is delicious, cheap, open late, and has locations everywhere!

Step 1: Buy (1) large bag of Funyuns and (1) large bag of Flammin' Hot Cheetos
Step 2: Dump both bags into the shopping bag you carried them out of the store in. (Mix well)
Step 3. Enjoy.

Discovered this on one of my many drives from Phoenix to Vegas. You're welcome.

If I bring food, I try to pack easy stuff, that isn't messy. Turkey sandwiches, PB&J etc. Snacks usually just some kind of candy, and a cooler full of soda lol

Do they also sell Depends there? May have to pull a wacky-astronaut-jilted-lover move and just shit my britches while driving after eating McDonald's.

McGangBangs. You know you want one.

For those of you uninformed on the best McDonalds item, here is how it's done:
Order a McDouble and a Hot n' Spicy McChicken. Pull the McDouble apart (in half). Place Hot n' Spicy McChicken on top of the bottom half of the McDouble. Place top half of McDouble on top of Hot n' Spicy. Add fries to the sandwich if you see fit. (You should.)

Side note: Some Sriracha adds a bit of a kick and some more flavor.

Third on the jerky. Also trail mix, apples (or any other fruit you like), and water. You will definitely want water after jerky and trail mix.

I usually go with a mix of jerky and trail mix with a protein bar thrown in every now and then.

No way! The chicken needs to be in the middle of the patties (hence the name), and you leave all the buns on because carbs #Murica

My road trip food prep:

- Little Ceasers Pizza. They don't go bad for a couple days, even when left out at room temp (and strangely don't taste bad at room temp).

- Large Gatorades.

- CLIF bars (the chocolate / peanut butter ones taste great. Half a bar will fill you).

- Beef Jerkey.

- Redbull, 5 hour energy (when having to push a late shift... granted, based off your post, this is useless for you).

A heavy peanut diet helps with hunger and aren't greasy. Or trail mix.
