After reading that GM will be releasing a limited edition CTS-V coupe with around 560 horsepower and a standard gearbox I thought. "What is the most powerful car you can buy new with a standard gearbox?" When I say "standard" I am referring to a manual gearbox. Sorry for the confusion.
Boy is that pretty

Well, the ZR1 had a manny tranny with 638hp, and the Viper has three pedals with 640hp so there's two.

It's not exactly 'standard' if you can't find them anymore, but the new ZO6 looks like a candidate.

While not a regular "new car", Lewis Hamilton got a Zonda 760 "LH" with a stick by just putting in a custom order, so I assume anyone can probably order one like that too if they have the cash.
For most powerful-to-the-weight, the Arial Atom 300 is probably up there. They don't offer the manual in the V8 version though.

You're giving away your age if you refer to it as a "standard transmission" ;)

From searching the internet, It said that construction on their factory is supposed to restart this august, (they broke ground in 2012 but haven't done much since). and are supposed to finish the work by March of 2015, and then within 6 months they should be delivering them, so around September of 2015 would be my guess.

No it is not a concept. the car is about to begin production.
the company that makes this car is based out of West Richland, Washington (halfway across the state of Washington near the border with Oregon) and they held the Guinness World speed record of 257 mph for a production car from 2007 to 2010 with the SSC Ultimate Aero and this is their second car that was revealed at the 2011 Dubai Auto Show that should begin production next year, but no, it will be a production car next year, (the SSC Ultimate Aero model had like 1280 hp I believe, and their final special edition had 1300 hp),

I know a ton of older folks. Most of them I met through working on and restoring these old Mercedes.

I've always enjoyed interacting with people older than myself, it gives one more perspective on life. Working on old Mercedes can give one a lot of perspective too. Cheers!

I agree with that! The Dutch man I pulled a Mercedes 6.9 engine with was about 80. He helped a buddy and myself pull it in about 20 minutes! It would have taken us hours on our own.

It's a concept. They don't have the factory built, the company is building prototypes in the owners garage/backyard. The are testing the drive train for that car in an Ultimate Aero according to the company website. Not even a drivable prototype yet.

I wasn't going for grammar, I already have enough of that to do in school, I was going for content.
