Avant. All Day Long. As big of a Mustang fan as I am, Having owned and built a hand full, and then owning an S4 after that, the S4 is just more better.

Oh? This I want to hear. Please Explain.

They just dont do it for me honestly. I like new edge as a Mach 1 or Termi but Bullitt has to look the part and 2008-09 Nails it.

XD Until you get inside and realize its the GT500 interior, 2010 Mustang GT Suspension, and all the tech that went into making the 2010 Mustang.

If that were the case, you should be looking for a 68' 390 GT 2+2 Fastback :P

My last Mustang was an S197 chassis. I dumped about $12,000 into suspension and chassis upgrades and a good bit more into building a 450hp NA motor with driveline goodies to support it. No matter what I did, I could not get this thing to corner how I wanted it. It would either understeer or break the back end completely loose (even under light throttle / no throttle with 275 NT-01s on it). In its defense, it would have made an awesome drift car.
When I decided to get rid of it, I replaced it with a B8 S4 I got CPO about 18 months off the lot with <20k on the clock. In 100% factory form (with the factory ride select suspension system and their variable differential) the S4 could out handle the Mustang. Now I am sure this is due in part to the AWD being able to pull the front end around, but it was also a lower horsepower and higher weight vehicle vs a car I had built specifically for the track.
I 100% feel that had I upgraded the Audi to the 400+ hp mark and upgraded the suspension components to more track worthy specs, the S4 would have left the Mustang in the dust in both corners and straights, no contest.
While the B6 is an older and heavier chassis than the B8, I would still say a tastefully modified B6 would at least keep up with a well built Mustang on the track, while being more awesome for reasons of Avant, and MUCH more comfortable.

Hm, I see. How was the Service cost compared to Mustang is my next question. Because I would assume it is more. Also I would be using as maybe a once or every two month track day car. And thats drag racing because the midwest only has drag strips.

Honestly couldn't tell you. I only owned the Audi for 6 months, and when I bought it it had the remainder of the pre-paid services on it. I was 5k mi away from the next service when I traded it in. I would assume it to be a bit more, but if you are the kind to do things yourself, the parts costs are not terrible far apart. Especially for general service items (oil, filters, etc.)

That looks so nice. I really like that dark-green, de-badged look.
When I was looking at cars a few months ago, I was really set on a Mustang with a manual. I ended up getting a Civic Si. There was one Bullitt in my area for about $15k, but it was from a private seller. With my credit history and youth, it wasn't gonna happen.
But damn, as much as I love my Si, there are times I wished I bit the bullet and have gotten a Mustang. I love this one without the tacky louvers; it looks a bit odd without a spoiler though, but, still, positively modest nonetheless.

Ok it all began in 1968 With the Torino Option on the Fairlane Fastback and Coupe. It carried over to 1969 Where the Legendary Torino Talladega was born.
Then it got its own Line in 1970. Where it became a angry looking MF:
And 1971 Nothing Changed Until 1972. And thats where the move car came from.
Then 1973 is when they had to have the 5mph bumpers and thus my car was born.
And then 1974 you saw the Decline of the Muscle Car and it just goes down hill from there.
Finally it was killed off looking like this:
But it was being called the LTD II by that time.....

I had a 72 (my first car) and really wanted a 73 because I liked the front end better. I thought my 72 looked like it had a fish mouth.
