Hopefully I can get it ready for electronics tonight. I'll at least get the gear on, might not bother with the nose til later. so
I'm so excited. If you've ever played RealFlight this plane is in there, and I've wanted one since I started playing Realflight back in 2010. It's going to be kickass when I have differential thrust set up...
To keep it on topic, here's a car

Looking good :) Do you have experience beyond realiflight?

naw, I don't want to ruin the look of this one with a mount.
I put the gopro on the biplane

Oh yeah, I've been flying for a few years now. I got this arf at an auction yesterday
I've also got a high wing .32 electric, an electrified Kaos 40, an Ace 4-120 biplane with a an electric 1.60, and an EDF citation among some other random little things. Also picked up the E-Flite F-4 edf yesterday, going to get it together soon

Ooohhh, very nice! That's a good open space for that also.

I guess any advice I was thinking of giving is invalidated now :) Thanks for the response.
I'm looking to buy a micro 3D plane soon, I figure that hovering in the sim should make it so most of the damage I do in real life can be fixed with tape, and anything bigger than micro size involves me having to drive somewhere.

Well it is Kansas.
It's actually a club airfield, built at a park that's built on top of an old dump. It's a nice place to fly

I just got a Parkzone SU-26XP ultra micro at the auction yesterday, and I'm hoping to use it to try hovering. I can hover in the sim decently and I can hover my Believable Hulk a bit, so it should be interesting

That's awesome! Here near Washington Dc it would be quite the drive to find a massive open place like that where they would let you do anything in.

Hoping to get one myself soon. I love the ultra-micros because you can pretty much fly them anywhere. During the summer I keep at least my P-51 with me at all times because it is as simple as stopping at any of the three parks that are on my way to/from home to have a few minutes of stress relief. I want a 3D plane though so I can toss it around more, I've found that flying over decently tall grass makes these ultra-micros pretty much invincible so I'm hoping getting a 3D UM will help my skills a lot without requiring a bunch of money. I also want to buy a ~100 size 3D heli for the same reason, learning without a lot of money.

I used to like the ultra micros, but here it's too windy to fly them most days. I actually didn't have any until yesterday when I got the sukhoi and a gee bee at auction
I'm avoiding helis, I would totally destroy one.

Honestly it is the same here, but I've found that wind takes away from the fun of flying anything and now I live a ten minute drive from the nearest place I could fly anything big, so I've moved more toward UMs. I've found that the AS3X helps in some wind enough to roughly double the days I feel comfortable flying.
I used to feel the same about helis but I played on the sim a lot this off season and started to be able to fly around without crashing so I think I could be able to step up from 4ch to 6ch without breaking all of the things.

I KNOW WHERE THIS IS! :D
Once the plane got into the air... this is just north of Derby where K15 turns into the canal route, right? Unless that's the Big Ditch I'm seeing and not the Canal...
