Nismo all day. I'm biased though, I drive a regular Z now.

The Bullitt.
Even though the Nismo would be more fun...it's still one of those cars you know you could buy base and build up 10x better.

From what I understand the Nismo is more rare..and there are way to many Mustang owners on the road, and I already have a Z..so..I vote Nismo

The Nismo looks more eexpensive and unique, i like it better.
Plus, thats my least favourite gen of stang, look-wise.

The Bullitt is understated in all the right ways.

It is more unique seeing as they only made a little over 1600 of them, where as they made 5773 Bullitt Mustangs

the Z every day of the week...having been both a mustang and a Z owner, to me, it's no contest

What kind of mustang did you have? As my name probably suggests, I'd take a s197 over a 350Z every day of the week but I'm curious as to your reasoning.

I had an '01 GT...nothing to really write home about, but a good car nonetheless...and in all fairness, my Z was an '08 350Z....I always loved Z's and Mustangs growing up so of course I always wanted one of each...and in the 7 years between them, there were advances in technology and such...at "the end of the day" i just felt more satisfaction driving the Z and I think it was the car I wanted more, though I always thought the Mustang was the one I wanted most
I also felt like, in general, the quality and design of the Z was much greater than that of the Mustang (though i never had any major issues with either)...I suppose this can be attributed to that 7 year gap which gave Ford time to improve on quality and design

I'm assuming you kept the sn95 stock? You'd be right in saying it's uninspiring. Even with all the improvements that came in 05 with the new gen s197 (aluminum block, 3v heads) they were still too quiet, too lumpy, and too unresponsive. Where they shine is in their potential. Drivability improves tremendously with lower suspension, and lower profile tires. Remapping the engine also makes a world of difference seeing as the cars have no throttle response from the factory and are set to run 87. The Bullitt is a whole different animal because it has those bolt-ons (CAI, 91 tune, exhaust, lower springs/struts, tower brace etc.). My stang is one of the sportiest cars I've ever driven, and I've driven a c5 z06 amongst other things so it just goes to show they suck from the factory but don't count them out. They're awesome if you customize them to your liking.

i did keep it all stock as i've never been one to mod cars though i appreciate those that do...you're definitely right that, the potential is huge for them and i feel like ford made them that way intentionally so people could make them their own — i mean, mustangs have always been, for the most part, a car person's car (so to speak)...i do have to say that i like what i've seen of the '14/'15 'stangs
