The "Rostvertol" factory, part of the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, is the primary source of Russia's helicopters and, arguably, the entire world. The plant has been operational since WWII when it first fabricated hopeful prototypes for repelling Hitler's invasion. Today it spits out the entire Mil product range - from the most familiar and impressive Mi-24/35 attack helicopters and their advanced Mi-28 descendants, Mi-26 giants and Mi-8/17 medium-lifters to their analogues of our ubiquitous Bell 206/407 JetRanger. Cool article. I like the Mi-28 . It's like a steampunk Apache.
