Look! I drew a tea kettle. I've been drawing for 2 years now but, I have to be retaught everything just so I can get credit, its really annoying. The assignment is to draw 5 kitchen objects in 2 point perspective with texture (I already know how to do this). I go to college to learn something new, not be retaught stuff I already know how to do, anyway *end Rant*, its due Monday the 12th, let's hope I get it done with Mothers Day Craziness.

I had the same sort of fun experience in college for networking and servers. I wish I could've taken drawing. Being able to draw would be fun.

My issue with this assignment (and really the whole class) is that I am not gaining anything new from it other than proof of knowledge. I love my teacher, and its kind of fun to do the assignments, its just not enriching.

Art school graduate here. Having to do something you already know how to do in a different way is a absolute pain in the ass. I know. I've been drawing since I was 3 years old and never took an Art class until college. And perspective class is the absolute worst. I had a 60 year old drunk woman that used to yell at me whenever anyone else would talk during class for a perspective teacher. Man I hated that class.
My point is: Hang in there. It gets better. For every drunk "Drawing 101" teacher there is a great Life Drawing or Animation teacher that will blow your mind. And try to absorb any helpful info from the shitty teachers too. I had a Typography teacher that used class to sleep off his hangover. One day he woke up from his Jack Daniel's induced nap and looked us all in the face and said "If any of you EVER create a logo in all capital script font I will hunt you down and kill you." Words to live by.
