So just as I said, my wife and I took our BMW down to Santa Cruz and back and this is how it went.
We got up early enough to top off the tank and grab some Dutch bros coffee. The ride down was smooth and largely traffic free, punctuated by some cool early 70's American land yachts, some revvy Japanese machinery and the gem you see below.
So far so good but at this point it's just my wife and I. Enter !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and his beautiful Suzuki street bike. I didn't even try to take a picture of it because I only had my iPotato and my pictures suck. None the less a wonderful bike.
Then came the food. If you haven't had Arabic food yet I suggest you get out from under Iraq (hur hur get it?) and get you some. Even Tony Stark knows the power that is Shawarma.
After the food came more people and their cars. While there were Subarus, Evo's, Civics, and a Yaris the amount of cool metal in the parking lot was a lot more diverse. From cool beetles, a collection of pristine corvettes (c4-c7), hot rods, muscle cars, and an E type jag in mint condition.
Then the roller coasters and the arcades. Speaking of arcades, did you know temple run and fruit ninja are now bonafied arcade games? I found out today.
Oh and the lady bug!
Then we drove till our hearts were content and our brakes were starting to smell. We took "lil' bastard" up highway 1 through San Francisco and past Sonoma race way. Such a fun road and such a fun car.
And to top it off I got to play around with a 900 wheel horsepower Mustang Cobra Jet at a friends dealership. I also learned that if I were to commute in it at full tilt I would spend close to $800 in fuel and have to change the spark plugs half way through the journey.
So I would count today a success and look forward to setting another meet up possibly being in fall.
