Came in because there's a server that is supposed to be deployed. It's priority because the current server's arrays are failing. Just got a call from the onsite tech; he cannot find said replacement server. I will be so fucking angry if I wasted my night (and wasted parking fees) to have nothing to do.

Forward the bill. No client wastes my time anymore, because I have quite happily charged for my hours, working or not. I sat in a Planet Fitness for three hours one time waiting for the manager to show up. They finally showed up, and when I looked at the printer, it wasnt network compatible, so what I went there to do wasnt going to happen.

Bill sent, bill argued, and finally, bill paid in full. Parking was free, but had there been fees, they would have gladly been tacked on. Im not a charity computer service.

Unfortunately there is no bill. I would have had to come in at some point to get the hours any way. I'm not the onsite tech; I'm the guy who sits at HQ and RDPs into everything, for a hefty salary :)

ha, i rather enjoy setting up the hardware end of things and dealing with the physical maintenance. More RDP for you. Where I work, we tend to avoid it, hard to bill for, but going ahead, thats going to change. My coworker deals with that mostly anyway. Since our budget is really messed up, myself and the secretary are reworking the billing/ordering rules.

If I could build a server a day (or other high end machine), i would happily do so until i couldnt pick up the tools anymore.
