Syd Mead is the "visual futurist" and concept artist for Blade Runner, Aliens and Tron. He even worked for a while at the Ford Motor Company's Advanced Styling Center in Dearborn, Michigan. He has often referred to science fiction as merely "Reality ahead of schedule".

I've always been a great fan of his design language and of the films in which it is featured.
