Just got the BSR intake in the mail for the Turbo X. Installed it last night in less than an hour and it's pretty awesome. Tons of turbo noise and a noticeable increase in throttle response and midrange power.

It says that the max is 295 hp....which is a problem considering that a stage 0 vtuner bumps it up to 320. I'll just take my chances.

Haha I've been super busy with school. This is the first of a few things I have planned for the beast. Next is either muffler delete or a Stage 0 Vtuner.

Hope you got ECU tuning if you put a new intake on an FI system.

Any decrease of power after running for a while? I'm thinking you might start sucking in hot air with the TARBO. I was asking my mechanic/club president/all round good guy about something similar for my 9000 and he said there wasn't any point, since the airbox is in the front wing, far away from the turbo and isn't restrictive up until at least 300 HP.
I kinda has a sad, but kinda has a happy too. :D I mean, cheap mods are always neat, but then again, why fettle with something that works perfectly for a given application.

It has responded pretty well without one, no codes thrown or a loss power. I plan on getting a Vtuner and the intake will definitely help with that.

Next step: swap out that BSR oiled filter for an AEM dryflow. Your MAF sensor will thank you. and it filters better. I also have the BSR optiflow setup, with the AEM filter.

Did yours come with oil? I thought about that when I noticed there wasn't any in the packaging so maybe they switched to dry?...

The BSR filter itself is definitely oiled. I bought my optiflow kit used of of saabcentral.
The BSR oiled filter itself was pretty beat up but I had plans to run the AEM dryflow regardless. Filter # 21-2047DK is the one to go for, nearly the exact dimensions as the BSR one, it fills out the heat shield nicely, and doesn't come into contact with the hood insulation.

Cool. I'm not a total expert or anything but I have seen a lot of people have problems with with adding small things like bov / intake. With the subarus motors the smallest thing can be an issue mainly because the factory tune is not good or very safe. I really believe with a turbo on new cars things are so complex during shifts etc. that a custom tune is the only way to have a lot of power reliability.
