No matter what side of the political spectrum you are on, I bet you are like me in the fact that you hate political ads. And there is nothing worse than local political ads. I saw this one last night and found it kind of humorous. I wasn't really paying attention to the message...something, something taxes...something, something jobs....JEEP vs DODGE! I bet the Jeep people aren't going to be too happy.

Have the bros taken over up north too?
This ad belongs in Fl, where the majority of the population will actually be swayed by these ads and the image!

WUT. I'm surprised Politicians in the Harrisburg area have enough funding to make a commercial like this, or one at all. Funny how he'd use these cars. Should have came to OPPO. Would have suggested an Pinto for his contender and a Cobra for himself.

Not so much Bros as Rednecks. Everyone around here drives lifted ass trucks with tired bodies and engines that are even more exhausted. They all sound like they dropped two cylinders 50,000 miles ago. Oh, and actual mufflers or safely operating vehicles are almost non-existant. Shows how good our inspections really are, and I have a license to inspect.

It always made sense whey they drive em around so much by me... Florida has no inspections at all, so anything goes.
But up there, I would've figured it be hard.
But I guess if you know a guy who knows a guy who happens to own a little "inspection garage" anything is possible

Very possible. Inspections are 50/50, depending on garage you use. Some are good and are stricter about stuff (the station I work for, I.E.) And some are basically just paying for the sticker.

Wait... These ads actually
exist?
! I saw them in GTA and I thought those were just jokes making fun of the debates or something.
Jesus you've actually got ads berating other politicians. Do you think that's something normal, or acceptable? I'm not lecturing you, btw, I'm really curious, for how long has this existed? Does it work?
I mean I know they berate and bash each other in interviews and debates, but making a tv ad for something like this is just crazy.

Dude...not being in the US you have no idea how bad it gets. This is mild compared to some of the garbage that gets on our airways.

I've always thought, wouldn't it be great if some governor or senator took his entire advertising budget and just donated it to charity or something. Free advertising, plus the money helps people instead of getting thrown into things people hate.

They've started using those slander ads in Canada too (albeit on a much smaller scale), it's rather disappointing

They'd never get elected. Unfortunately a large majority of voters do no research on their own before an election and either vote straight across party lines or just vote for people they've heard of. The more you can get your name out the more chance you have at winning.

Canada has some good ads too. The best part about this ad, was that after Ignatieff led the Liberals to their worst ever election showing....he actually went back to Harvard. The attack ad was factually correct about future events!! Hahahahaaa.

I see this one all the time. I couldn't tell you what they say... I just know that I hate all political ads and this one is stupid-er than others. .

I live in Pa and can explain the reason for this stupid ad. In a previous ad for the main democratic rival for governor, Tom Wolf, his daughter's describe him as a regular guy that still drives his "old Jeep". They show him shifting gears in a plain Jeep TJ. The Corbett ad is just making fun of that. It's still pretty dumb and shows Corbett's weak case on big issues.

Here it is if anyone cares. Yawn.
