I had a friend in high school with one of these. And then later knew a guy with a Beetle turned into a panel van.

Back in the 60s and 70s there were all manner of fiberglass bolt-on modification kits you could get for beetles. The one shown here I remember seeing in a Chechen and Chong movie. People did a lot of drugs back then.

If I remember correctly, back in high school days I saw a Mustang II with one of those rolly royce noses. It makes the Beetle version look sane.
