Seems rather low for a Porsche engine. Is it just because it's a 4 cylinder?

The cool thing is that you can get smoking deals on the common engines. The old man bought a fully rebuilt engine for his '69 911 for $2500. It was missing the carbs but it was still a hell of a deal. It was so clean you could literally eat off of it.
