The note about the tyres suggests it's sat for a good few years. But that's still a pretty nice price, because Lotus 7 clones don't really depreciate thanks to not having a newer version come out every few years.

I'm not sure what you mean, the Caterhams are all kit cars.

Interesting - I wasn't totally aware of that. I knew a person could get a Caterham-like kit, but for some reason I thought they also sold them pre-assembled.

You can't buy that car with an engine installed in the US. You have to buy it and install the drivetrain, then register it as a hand built car. They sell them pre-assembled in the UK, but the US is a big bitch about safety and emissions even with ultra-low volume cars.
