Might be the same tires I have actually. But, I wouldn't really do that with my car. Not enough rubber and too much weight up top. Guy probably needed a better suspension setup, sway bars aren't enough.

Dead stock as of right now, though it went through a refresh in the late 90's. I'm hopefully going full Ireland Engineering coil overs by the end of this summer, but I don't have a job right now so some things have to fall into line first.

I'm going to replace the front shocks and put on the 22mm front sway bar. My mechanic said to leave the back alone on these cars. The front is the only one that needs to be sorted. Also, the 32/36 is probably going on this summer.

Yeah, the backs are topically fine but mine is sagging a little bit so I figure a full overhaul would make sense and would make the car a little more fun. Front sway bars are definitely a good add on to these cars. Everyone I know with a nicer 2002 has them, at least up front. Plus, I have a $300 credit to Ireland so 22mm front and rear would only cost me $90 extra.

Let me know how much of a difference the 32/36 makes. I really want to do a carb upgrade as some point. I should hear back from the places I applied in the next week or so, then I can start spending money I don't have yet. Ahaha. Ugh. Broke college kid status sucks.

Same boat. I need monies, for car parts. I'm not going to have a fling this summer (at least I think, haha) because I want to save and pamper my baby.

The two other 2002 owners I met last week in Bethesda were really helpful and awesome guys. I have the 32/36 in the trunk, but no manifold. One guy says he'd give me his old one. I asked about the air filter setup and the other one has his modified one sitting in a box at home. It's this setup. Here's our cars together. The blue one started with solex, then 32/36, then 38s, now 40s. Cool guy that just kept wanting more. The red 1602 has a 1.8 swap from a 318 (I think). Also, the red one belongs to CleverUsername.

All of us have AUX lights and the two others have roof racks. Go figure.

I think I might end up going straight to dual side draft 40s. I have an upgraded carb now, but honestly upgraded to what I can't say. The previous owner gave it to me for free when I bought the car, but couldn't remember where it had come from and I never bothered to check. I better start saving the pennies I find in my couch if I want to afford that setup though.

But damn, I would be the odd man out. Later model, no AUX lights, not roof rack, and no front bumper. Ahaha
