I'm 98% sure it's Alter 1. It has the screw in the middle of the shaft and it looks like the connector had a retaining screw at some point(long gone and the plastic is broken though).

Actually, 100% on that, it has the snap rings and stuff for the rotor plate.

The #15 housing is definitely broken, and the interwebz seem to suggest that it can cause all the issues if that one plastic bit is broken, so I'm skeptical. I'd probably just replace the whole #2 as well if I were to do that. Only downside is that #2 is riveted in supposedly, so replacement can get kinda hairy.

that #15 is still available to order new. My price $8.
The #2 is expired.
I'm going to check our "box of many 240 things" upstairs for both items and confirm how the #2 is placed on the shaft ( LOL! ). Lotus stock order is in, so i'll check in a little bit.

That's unfortunate about the sensor being not available, the forums seem to think that just replacing the #15 will solve the issues, but I don't see how a plastic housing will fix a connection issue. I guess it's worth a shot and cheap enough to try though.
Let me know if you happen to find something laying around. I wish buying a whole distributor wasn't so expensive.

We had a bunch of interior trim and suspension parts but all I found this hall effect. Besides some cables, caps, interior trim, and various lighting, that is all I found up there. Also the master cylinder/pump assembly. I did find a cool section of Halflinger Puch parts and a bunch of Lotus Europa stuff :]
