Wow....That's sad. There's two FRS's at my school, and one is an automatic. The person who got the FRS in an automatic is a bit of a swag fag who does not enjoy driving at all. He just got the car because it looks good. The other guy has it in a manual and he actually is an enthusiast. I could've gotten an FRS too but I didn't because it has too small of a back seat. Great car though none the less, just didn't check all the boxes I needed. It definitely checked boxes that were nice, but just not a few of the ones I needed.

The back seat is a joke int the toyobaru twins, no idea why they even bothered to include one. In the way my seats are adjusted in my BRZ they touch the back seat, eventually i plan on just removing the whole thing and maybe making a couch out of it or something.

It's heresy.

The urban legend is that having any size back seats makes insurance premiums lower

I think the car could have been even lighter if they had gotten rid of the back seats and squished the car down. But then that car would be too short, and that would throw off its 50/50 balance. I wonder if they included the seats simply to take up some space, and keep the car balanced. Sorta like, huh we have all this unused space, what can we do? OH I KNOW, we'll put some small seats in. Lower insurance, more balance.

There's a small fleet floating around my school campus and town in various states of tune. One guy in my apartment complex rocks the alumni plate frame and has the proper gearbox though I haven't seen the car lately.

I too like to overreact at utterly inconsequential details that don't affect me in any meaningful way.

Only toyobaru at my school is a manual but I'll bet money the guy that owns it has never gone to WOT before in it, or tossed it around a corner. Definitely never been to a track day. Such a waste...

Yeah. Big whoop it's automatic. Not everyone has the chance to learn how to drive manual growing up
