I stand by the fact that helicopters are one of the most ingenious machines mankind has ever made. They fly around by essentially beating the air into submission and you can land pretty much anywhere.
I need more monies so I can pursue training in rotorcraft.

It's largely the certainty of violent, fiery, dismembering death.

Just because. I'll have a Blackhawk in black please.

That and the noise. Even something as humble as a Robinson stirs up quite a racket.

We have a helipad here at work. They rule!

Everyone around me knowsI don't trust two forms of transport; helicopters and horses. Once the helicopter malfunctions you're basically in a box of death. Pretty much the same concept on the horse JK.
At least in some planes they can direct they're glide. You're not just in a box in the sky.
Ps I know helicopters use their rotors to slow descent on free fall I'm not no bitch

Why not?

It must be awesome to hear those choppers coming in. My flight school is located near an Air National Guard hangar and those Blackhawks really shake things up when they take off.

Autorotation isn't the preferred form of landing but at least you have a chance.

I remember the first time I was in a helicopter, must've been 21 or something... and it was in one of these.

Living on a military base when I was young I got to see Hueys, Blackhawks, and Chinooks fairly regularly

hahahaha LANDING.
I've seen that diagram, and I've heard how effective they are from a seasoned helicopter wrangler

That's one way to trim the hedges lol. Is that a Hughes 500? Can't tell very well.

I have no idea, don't know if it's the same type I was in either, all I know is that I got to see how they cleared our power lines (I used to work with maintenance on powerlines) :)

you got it! Every single time i think i hear a helicopter nearby, i must always go see it. I drop whatever im doing and try to spot it. They are just the coolest things ever. My personal favorite is the little bird/md500, its like the gymkhana car of the helo world.

I want to hoon one of those very badly.

plus they look super badass in formation. Like rolling up with 10 hayabusas.
Also, i hope youve watched BHD, specifically for the helicopter scenes.

As someone who flies in these to go offshore, they're pretty cool, but then when you're miles out over the Gulf, you start thinking about how this contraption has no business doing what it is doing.

I've flown some distance off the coast of Miami in a Piper Warrior so I kinda know that feeling, lol.
