I have to write out this personal development plan for work. It will be posted on the company's intranet. I can't figure out what is for except for managers to poach employees from other departments.

What are my career interests? I don't have any. I just want to do as little work as possible while getting paid as much as possible. What a load of B.S.

lol I have to do the same thing for my work because I need to hire another person soon. Just let me hire another fucking person, not write my life story about it

WHAT ARE MY TOP THREE STRENGTHS?

1. Procrastination

2. Writing a script to do the work for me

3. Minesweeper

When I used to actually be an employee of the company I am now contracted to, we had to do things called performance connections. Basically, at the beginning of the year, you would write out your plan for the year. What you would do to better the company and your position (usually some sort of cost savings plan worked well). Then mid way through the year, you followed up with another to tell how you are meeting your goals. Then at the end, you would tell what you did for the year, then set out the next years goals.

Basically you did your manager's job of reviewing your job. It sucked. You to list your job responsibilities, and what you would do to better yourself in the company. It was an incredible waste of time.

For the first time in 10 years at my job I was asked to fill out an "Employee Self Evaluation Form". Imagine my surprise when my boss just cut and pasted everything from there to my yearly review.

I think that was covered under the first skill. If I wasn't 90 minute out of Portland I'd apply to be your new hire, haha.
