DO NOT WANT. After seeing 20+ I have decided. The whole exterior of the car has a Chinese knock off vibe about it in my opinion. The tail lights and headlights look off. The front headlights looks way too big. The rear tail lights do too, I also don't like how the boot lid juts out above the tail lights. The previous gen X5 was a MUCH more attractive car. It was probably the best looking SUV on the market. They have lost their way.

Much better.

I agree, the last gen was much nicer looking, and much nicer than any other SUV in its price point (or lower). But I still kind of like the new X5. Certainly not as much, but I still think its a pretty good looking SUV.

Now the X4 on the other hand... Don't even get me started.

Me too, but I am biased because I have a E70. The back window in the new one is too high and squished now.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I'd rather a pre-owned X5! Ahaha. Or, if we're going the ugly route, a X6M because at least it's got the ridiculousness to back up the ugliness

I do absolutely dig the last gen X5, and it will likely be what I get when I return to California from Canada. Not really thrilled about the new one. I don't mind the front clip (my wife has an F30 328i that we love), and the back is meh, but inoffensive. I wouldn't quite go "Chinese knockoff", but there's something about it that is bland. That rear 3/4 view just looks boooring. Maybe there's just something off with the profile. Looking at it more, I think the beltline rises too much front to rear. It makes the ass-end look big and the taillights look artificially high, even though they don't seem any higher than the previous-gen. Either way, good catch.
