In my opinion, more athletes should eat BBQ before a competition. Might I suggest SAW's barbecue in Birmingham - the finest BBQ in the South, hands down.
I have been extremely fortunate to be a repeat guest of Ganassi racing at both Nascar and Indy events, and serving them some Barbecue this Saturday was the absolute least I could do to repay them.
I've come to understand how strong people's Nascar alliances are, making it tough for a rookie to garner a following. Kyle's talent is enough to make him stand out, but the hospitality and camaraderie shared by this team are enough to keep me coming back again and again. I can't say enough about how great this team.
Cheers to team 42! (Their PR guy is also pretty dope!)

It can't be the best Barbecue in the south, because it isn't from NC.

this guy named gary in a small town of about 400 people in eastern nc who has olds cutlass rally wheels on his pig cooker. He doesn't sell his barbecue, he only lets you eat it if he likes you.

Less swine, more bovine. I'll ship you some pre-workout Texas Q so you can get more protein from the brisket.
And more proper flavor.

Texas BBQ is a myth. What you call BBQ, the rest of the world calls grilling out. Every thing's bigger in Texas, including not having a clue what real BBQ is.

Up here in Wisconsin, we make some damn fine barbecue. But we don't pretend its the best anywhere.

You guys grill a single piece of meat for 12 hours in a smoker?
You're cute.

Your note about the PR guy being dope is hillarious because I know exactly why you said it haha ;)

LOL! A single piece of meat? Try THE ENTIRE PIG, and it gets cooked in the ground for a full day basted in Eastern-style vinaigrette sauce, AKA the only acceptable BBQ sauce. Everything else is just spicy tomato paste.

Well, if you're too poor to afford a proper smoker, I guess you could just dig a hole in the ground to cook your meat. And vinaigrette? Like the crap I put on my salad? Huh. Do you use other parts of the salad for flavoring as well?
In Texas, we use little (if any) sauce on our meat. We smoke brisket for 12 hours, ribs and sausage for a bit less. In smokers. Large smokers. That we didn't create with shovels.
I do feel bad, though. Is there some nonprofit that I can donate to that'll provide proper cooking tools to y'all?
