...and ended up finding what should've been one of the most awesome chasing scenes of motoring history. An F40 vs. a Countach. But it's crap.
I remember seeing this chase on the afternoon TV when I was a kid. I probably found out what an erection was at the same moment.
I didn't find the movie I was looking for. And it's bothering me for years to know if what I'm remembering was a dream/imagination or an actual scene.

That F40 looks all wrong.

One of the reasons why it's a pile of crap.

The Ferrari is obviously fake but I'm not sure about the Countach. I'm betting on it but those could just be some horrid federal bumpers.

Actually you know what? After watching that, I gotta say that's not a half bad chase scene considering the times.
Consider:
1. Not much, if any use of sped up footage
2. Smart enough to make good use of dirt to create lots of oppo
3. Lots of oppo
4. Badass road with those switchbacks
5. Is that....Dolph Lundgren?
Yes, the Fiero has a pretty similar wheelbase to the 308, not the F40 and by modern standards those oppo moments were short on non drifty, but honestly this was better than the chase scenes seen in most modern movies. No CG or super quick cuts or sped up footage.
