Yeah, well...

Kinja'd!!!

...there is, and me either.

Kinja'd!!!

Oh. Oh, you did know? Hm. Well, that's awesome.

Kinja'd!!!

Did I mention I saw the Hudson Hornet today?

These were on the National Mall today in DC. There were 10 cars all together—one per decade beginning in the 1890s. 5 govt. agencies are collaborating to create a historic register for important American vehicles. The first recognized?

Yup! It is at the Peterson Automotive Museum! They took it off the show room floor cause people would touch it and leave prints in the gold.

Nice! Yeah, I had to ask the car's keeper/handler today. Was so curious. He said two were made as a promotion for the Amex gold card in 1981. $61K new in 1981. Amazing money, I said. He said, "Yes. More than a Ferrari 308 the same year."

My brother has a model of a gold Delorean. I wonder if the models are rare.

And points to you, as well, sir. Apparently one went to CA and one to TX, new. This is the one from California (now lives in NV). Reportedly, the original owner dented a door shortly after getting it. The repair cost >$11K to fix it because of the stainless/gold, etc. and his insurance company raised his premiums so much he parked it.

LOL.

Used the Inflation Calculator after reading your reply to Stapleface. $61K works out to be $153K today. Another LOL.
