So, I have some chipping like in these two shots on various parts of my E24. I also have a bag full of touch-up paint and assorted chemicals I ordered last year before I put the car in storage. What's the best way to approach these fixes? These are on the fender, but there are also some chips lower down on the doors, and on various panels here and there. Is there a way to cure the oxidation before using the touch-up brush, or is it necessary to respray larger areas?

Here's another shot of a scratch, and a picture of the touch up equipment. Thoughts?

Thanks Oppo. Your help is appreciated.

From the looks of it, most of that long scratch will polish out, at least to a point. Only the red areas look to be below the surface.

If it were me, I'd polish it first in order to remove or lessen the severity of the scratch, and then touch up the one deep scratch with a brush. The smaller ones might be best left alone.
