Watch as this crazy over-powered AMG wrecks its rear tires by doing some super-cool skids, burnouts and doughnuts. Thankfully, it didn't end in the inevitable!

The CL65 AMG is a 'luxo-barge' that can do 0-60 in just under 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 200mph (de-limited). What harnesses this power? A great big hand-made 6.0-litre AMG V12 which produces 621hp and a mind blowing 1000Nm torque. It's no wonder then, the CL65 takes zero effort to light up its rear tires in a cloud of smoke!

Out of curiosity, do mercedes market their AMG models as tyre shredders? I mean, I didn't find it funny even when top gear was marketing it like that (it's a personal opinion).

///M: Fast around a track

It's no fun when they don't smack it into a lap post or another car. I saw the Honda Accord come down the road and got excited!! Maybe next video

ugh.. i would enjoy this a bit more if this wasn't exactly the kind of moron I'm surrounded by where i live. driving home eastbound on the 134 from the 101 is nothing but these idiots using the freeway as their personal racetrack...and none of them have a clue how to drive or it would at least be mildly entertaining.

this guys that made the perfectly awesome and legitimate M, AMG, RS cars synonymous with douchebag-on-board

No, they're just fast...it's not like it does this by itself without you turning off all the systems and flooring it everywhere.

Nope. AMGs are always marketed as canyon/B road carvers or occasionally precision track machines.

The only Mercedes media I can recall that contained a burnout was a print advert for the C250 Saloon in an American magazine.

There was also this one on TV in the US:

This reminds me of one of the most hilarious pieces of advertising I've ever seen. It was again in the US in various magazines. Volvo had one of those flaps where you peel it back and a smell is released, but instead of a perfume it was burning rubber.

I agree with the first two, but in reality if someone picked an RS4 or the such over an M3; they are willing spending the same if not more money for a car that isnt even as good. Most of them know it, and simply like something about the RS's better, thus dont have an attitude thinking it is the hottest shit around.

Definitely a lot more laid back of a car owner in my personal experience at least.
