Yeah, that. I started fabricating the various bracketry to mount my TR6 gearbox, but thanks to the light-years thick (actually 4-5mm) steel I've got it took all day to make just one bracket :S
Someone pointed out that my earlier plan of mounting the rubber mounts vertically to the chassis wouldn't provide much location for side-to-side movement. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! have the rubber bits mounted at 45 degrees, so I thought I'd make something similar.
Started by measuring and marking:
Drilled the holes to mount it to the holes already in the chassis for the OEM mount (3" apart if anyone needs that info), and started folding it.
Drilling and filing the slot for the rubber mount, hopefully giving it some semblance of adjustability. I've added some gusseting for added strength as well.
Lastly, bolted it in place to check for clearance. There's not exactly acres of room, but there should be plenty enough.
One day, one down. Two more brackets to do :)

Very jelly of you having a TR6, such a looker.

I wish I did :) it's actually a MkIV Spitfire, but I'm swapping in the 2.5l PI engine from a TR6 (bolts up to GT6 engine mounts) and the beefier TR6/2500 gearbox (hence the custom gearbox mounts).
Here it is before I started pulling it apart:
And here's where it's at at the moment (engine in place just to mock up the gearbox mount, body's winched up to the ceiling):

I know that feel. I had a couple of tasks like that too. It gets more frequent as you get more tired, so take a break so you can recharge.

Yeah, it probably didn't help that I was out the night before and managed about 3 hours sleep :S hopefully the other side won't take nearly as long.

At least it was forward progress!
I've had many days when I actually went backwards in the timeline LOL.
