Omg reminds me of my first car. I used to be obsessed with L-Bodies (Corsica and Beretta). I got a 1992 Base model (71,000 original miles) in 2006. It came with the 2.2 OHV and 3t40 transmission. It was painfully slow but I did my best to make it look nice by adding GTU wheels and ground effects and a GT spoiler. All color matched, of course.

Looking forward to putting that sucker on! I was going to get an ACDelco clutch kit originally but decided against it because their quality had slipped in the past few years. I've read some horror stories about the Delco, but nothing but praise for Exedy!

I love that color! I'm a big fan of the simplicity of these cars, mine's also a 2.2L albeit a 5spd.

Thanks! GM called it "Medium Garnet Red Metallic." Finding touch-up paint was a bitch. I drove it balls to the wall for two years before selling it to a girl who loved it just as much as I did until its transmission took a dump. The transmission was dying the entire time I had it, but I knew how to baby it and make it last. I guess she didn't. :(

I miss it. It was so simple to work on. My grandpa and I changed two motor mounts on it in the backyard in like thirty minutes.

I love the Z26 wheels on yours. And that color is nice as well. Have you had the dreaded under-dash water leak? That was a major PITA for me to find and fix.

Jeezy Creezy. My first car. An '88...in '98. It was a total piece and I loved it to death. ...Never more than 5 bucks of gas in the tank (which was still about 3 gallons at the time). It overheated like a mofo and the paint was completely oxidized because Chevy thought water-based paint would be fun to try. Ahh...those were the days. They say the fastest car is a rental, but that's false. It's an '88 Beretta GT after dropping one's girlfriend off across town 10 mins before one's curfew.

I always wanted a Beretta. Then I bought one and it caught on fire. Lol. Hopefully you have better luck with yours.
