That was the most annoying and irritating things I've ever done. Drum Brakes are the work of Satan himself to punish you for owning an old or cheap car. I was gonna take pictures of the whole thing and completely forgot because of how annoyed I was. But hey, the brakes haven't felt that nice in a while so I guess it was worth it?

Drum brakes are of the devil. My dad is asking me to replace the drums on his 99 suburban but I don't want to deal with the hassle haha
Well done, you have more patience than I, good sir.

I've never screamed at springs until today... It was a dark day in my life.

This is why I believe drum brakes should be banned technology on new cars. They're completely fucking inferior in all ways. Given how complex they are, I just don't understand how they are cheaper than small disc brakes.

There is literally no plus to them other than they can't warp. It cost double to do the drums in the back than it did the discs in the front a couple years ago.

I know that feel, bro. First time doing the brakes on my Baja Bug when I had it was an eye opening experience. I've never cursed a simple spring so much in my life.

it is so they can integrate the parking brake with the main system. Most cars with discs still have a drum setup for parking brake.

Dude. I feel your pain. It's OK, you're with friends now. Shhhh, it's all OK now.
I still have nightmares from doing the drums on my '91 Cherokee. Nightmares and knuckle scars.
